HOW WE COMPARE

Our comparison methodology

A practical, transparent framework for smarter skincare shopping.

Our analysis is educational shopping support—not medical advice, hands-on product testing, or a claim that every retailer detail has been independently verified.

1. Define the decision

Start with the shopper's intended use, existing routine and the type of product being considered. Comparing unrelated product categories solely by price is misleading.

2. Identify what is actually known

Use the current manufacturer's description and ingredient list where available. Separate documented product features from marketing claims and avoid pretending that ingredient presence proves outcomes.

3. Compare formulations carefully

Consider highlighted ingredients, supporting ingredients, fragrance preferences, packaging and tolerance. A matching concentration does not mean two finished products work identically.

4. Compare fair unit costs

Where volume and pricing are known, compute (price ÷ ml) × 10 for euros per 10 ml. Compare the delivered checkout price and products with comparable purposes. Illustrative prices are labeled and never presented as live deals.

5. Explain uncertainty

Missing labels, regional formula variations, incomplete evidence or unreliable listings mean we should qualify our conclusions. Product rankings and performance claims should never be fabricated.

6. Disclose commercial links

Amazon affiliate links are labeled and marked sponsored. Purchases may generate a commission; they do not influence our editorial decision framework.

Where information comes from

Where cited, brand websites and product packaging provide product-specific information. The shopper may also supply price and product details to the analyzer. We encourage readers to confirm every current offer and ingredient label before buying.

Corrections and updates

Product formulations, availability and prices can change. Readers should prioritize current package information and manufacturer updates over older guide descriptions. Our aim is to make uncertainty visible instead of pretending to have checked information we have not checked.
